I'm not going to be able to pay my rent this month. what sucksss is that my credit card bill is due the 29th, my gas bill is due the 31st and my rent is obviously due the 1st. ughhhhhhhh.

I'm working at origins this friday and saturday, so I'm super excited for that. actually, I might be working at origins AND guess on friday since I'm working 11-5 at origins then I'm on call at guess from 5-close (meaning I'd get off at around 9:30).

saturday I'm seeing the gaslight anthem at the troc with ryan. I'm prettyyy excited to see them, since this will be my first time.

I sold pretty much my whole wardrobe at buffalo exchange and only got $80, which I had to turn around and spend on a new mcaffee subscription since mine expired and consequently my computer went on the fritz. if I had that $80 I wouldn't be in the hole this month.


ummm... next thursday I'm leaving for dc. this is a much needed break. I'm going to try to meet up with nic and caleb for our 2009 reunion (I cannot believe we haven't seen each other since summer 07!!!). it sucks that I won't have any money but at least I'll get to relax a bit.

last couple of days

let's see...
thursday night bryan slept over so I could help him with his store planning final. I stayed up until about 4am working on my presentations for history and current designers. I woke up at 7 (I usually get up at 6:30) and got to class a little late, but didn't really care. after sleeping for just under 3 hours I had the hardest time staying up through all the presentations, and in current designers I didn't even get to do mine because we ran out of time!!!! so I have to go this week. ughhh.

after class I was srsly hallucinating from being so tired, and I was really dizzy. I rocked my history presentation; my teacher loved it. I'm so at ease when I'm doing a presentation on something I'm passionate about.

after class I immediately met up with bryan to take him to lowes and target in south philly (he didn't know how to get there). it took a couple hours because you have to take the subway then the bus, then walk a bit then do the whole thing in reverse. I was soooo dead.

when I finally got home I dozed off for about 15 seconds, enough time for oscar to knock a candle over and get wax all over his paw. ugh.

that night I met up with janice, monica, vanessa, na, na's friend whose name escapes me, tracy, danielle, and jack for tracy's farewell at the dark horse bar on 2nd and lombard. I got there around 9:30. I ended up taking the subway up to broad and south and then was waiting for the bus when I learned that that bus doesn't run on south on fridays? so I took a $6 cab from there. I drank beer for old times sake, and because it's cheaper. janice, vanessa, and I left the bar around 1:30 and we walked around south st. to look for something to eat. we passed by maoz and they were still open... apparently on fridays they're open until 3am. I died. so I got a huge falafel. we ate and walked and they they went to vanessa's and I walked from 11th to broad to catch a cab. I kept thinking about how this girl was murdered right around there last summer, and I walked sooo fast! it took a while to get a cab and these creeps in a van kept trying to pick me up. I got home around 2:30.

then I had to work at guess at 1 yesterday, and I worked today from 1-6:30. I work tomorrow 1-close, then I have class tuesday and 2 final presentations to do.


ahhhhh.

I have to write a 3 page paper on the Sioux Uprising, due tomorrow afternoon.

I have to finish my ppt presentation on the Sioux Uprising, to be presented tomorrow afternoon.

I have to finish two ppt presentations for current designers; one that I was supposed to present last week and I didn't because I was unprepared, and the other is my final (I have to market Stella McCartney's fall 09 line).

I have to finish my aesthetics presentation due next week.

I need to go to the bank to deposit a couple of checks, so hopefully I will be able to pay my rent.

I got the job at origins, now I need to figure out how to balance two jobs and five classes.

I'm still trying to lose 10 pounds, with no luck.

I need to work on new jewelry for ljb, and begin contacting other boutiques for consignment. I really want to put a lot of time into this, but I don't have the time.





I really hate when people don't keep promises.

first post!

I've decided to move my personal journal to blogger. I'm not sure why... but I have, and this is where I will post things about my life from now on.


let's see... this week is going to be intense. my life has come to the point where I have to schedule EVERYTHING. I have to schedule class and work, obviously, but also shopping time and hang out seshs with friends. this week looks a little like this:
today: drop paperwork off at origins, work at guess from 1-6:30
monday: clean apartment, work from 1-7
tuesday: aesthetics class from 8-12, business ownership class from 12:30-4:30, work at guess from 5-8:30
wednesday: intern in old city from 11-8
thursday: run errands, work from 5-close
friday: current designers class from 8-12, history class from 12:30-4:30, then I'm on-call at work from 5-close. if I don't have to work, I'm going to lowes and ikea with bryan.
saturday: work 1-6

also, this week is "week 10" of my classes, so I have a final presentation due in aesthetics, two presentations to do in current designers (since I didn't present last week), and a presentation and a paper due in history.


also, this tuesday I applied for a job at Origins. Thursday I received a call from the manager, asking me if I could come in for an interview that day at 4. I had to be at work at 5, but origins and guess are one block away from each other so I figured I could still make it to work on time. she seemed very optimistic at the interview and pretty much told me I had the job. Friday she called me, and said I got the job!! they're paying me a dollar more per hour than guess. Ideally I wanted a new job so that I could quit guess, but to start out origins can only give me 20 hours a week so I'm going to work at guess and origins for the time being. I haven't told my store manager at guess yet because she was off all weekend. I have to face her tomorrow, though, and I'm pretty scared. I'm already on the schedule at guess through the first week of april, and I'm going to DC that weekend so I'm not sure when exactly I can start at origins. The manager there told me to take my time and if I can't start until april, she's ok with that.


anddd I guess that's it for now... I'm going to try to update this semi-frequently for those of you who care about my life!
